Kumho Sequoia Lamp Receives “Top Product” Award
Rancho Cucamonga, California – February 8, 21011 -- Kumho Electric’s Sequoia fluorescent lamp has been voted a “Top Product 2011” winner by the readership of Building Operating Management, a leading trade publication for facilities executives.
“We are extremely pleased by this recognition," said Kumho Electric USA president Alan Medak. “The long life of our Sequoia lamp has translated into significant savings in maintenance costs when used as replacements for standard fluorescents. In these times and with this economy, the savings have been particularly appreciated.”
The T8 Sequoia features extraordinary longevity, with a rated life of 75,000 hours when used with a programmed-start ballast, or 60,000 hours with an instant-start ballast. The regular Sequoia T8 lamps have 2950 lumens and the HL version features 3100 lumens.
Kumho has also developed special amalgams to make this lamp one of the lowest-mercury fluorescents in the market. Decreasing environmental impact is a high priority in the R&D and manufacturing process of the company.
